Join Us

Join us as The Scottsdale Old Adobe Mission, Grandeza Mexicana, and Lore Media and Art invite you to celebrate and learn about The Day of the Dead (Dia de Los Muertos), a time honored tradition reserved for remembrance of family members who have passed away. To honor the deceased, altars are traditionally built and decorated with marigolds, photographs, and favorite foods of the departed.

The Event

Community, Theatre and Art come to life as downtown Scottsdale celebrates Dia de Los Muertos, an ancient Aztec ritual that both remember the dead and mocks death itself. Discover the extraordinary rituals and observances that take place during this celebration of life while enjoying traditional food, family activities, vibrant music, dance, elaborate altar displays, sculptured art and an interactive community altar.

Scottsdale Dia de los Muertos
is hosted by the City of Scottsdale
